Chen Jin took on Taufik Hidayat in the men singles of the World Championship Finals 2010 in Paris. Taufik Hidayat defeated top seed Lee Chong Wei in the quarter finals meanwhile Chen Jin defeated Peter Gade in the semi finals.

On paper, advice Chen Jin will be the hot favorites to win his first world championship finals because of his youth and power play. Taufik will be banking a lot on his experience to unsettle Chen Jin. Can the old horse upset the formbooks to win another World Championship?

Thank you a lot for the match.

It would have been nice to have a deciding game but well, Chen Jin was too strong for Taufik who gave his best to go the final.

    thanks again 🙂

Taufik didnt play very well. The commentator put it best “Taufik never really settled.”

Taufik is done. He's only able to beat players who love to give him lots of time for his fancy shots but against players who push the tempo and make him work for every point, Taufik crumbles like deck of cards in a light breeze. sure , he's talented but talent doesnt garantee squat and talent doesnt mean your opponent wont run you around the court like a dog. the days when opponents are sitting around letting Taufik dictate the pace and game are over.Everytime Taufik plays a chinese player he knows he'll have to work like a slave to win points..and mentally Taufik cant handle it. When ever he's losing Taufik does his usual non chalant ” i dont care about this match” attitude or the opponent is manipulating the bird etc. but..but when Taufik is winning he acts like the gods of badminton have motivated him and that hes the most supremely talented man on the face of the earth. Oh, Taufik, all those years he spent sitting around stroking his big ego while other players worked to catch up and exceed he's paying the price. He's got no one to blame but himself.

Sadly I have to agree with you Nomad. Taufik is done!!!. He does not have the physical and mental toughness anymore to beat the Chinese. Talent alone is not good enough. Taufik it is time…, you are no longer hungry…

Here's another thing you will agree with ruslic249…and that is this site needs more pop ups and spam and viruses. Hey, everytime i come on here my computer doesnt slow down and freeze enough. we need our computers to completely crash, so let's give a shout out to jason to have more spam and pop-ups!! YAY!!! [ in case some of you arent too bright to catch on, i was being sarcastic.]

I really dont know what it is..these days taufik's just winning meaningless grand prix titles that only unknown players join at. These days hes dropping games against unknowns like brice leverdez and andrew smith.. players like lin dan or chen jin or chong wei would never drop a single game against these unknowns.. taufik's dissapointing now. I really crave for another Indonesian superstar to enter the badminton world just like taufik did in his early days.. but theres just no one thats good these days.
