Clash of the old birds in badminton from the same country. This is the 13th meeting between Peter Gade playing against compatriot Kenneth Jonassen. Kenneth Jonassen only has beaten Peter Gade once in their previous 12 meetings dated back to the 1995 Irish Open.
With such record, i am pretty sure many will not bet against Peter Gade to win this one. Kenneth Jonassen a fighter in court will not let things down without a fight. A classic on cards for the Denmark Open 2008 Men Singles Semi Finals?
Rightly so, Jonassen took a 11-5 lead in the first set but that’s about all he could conjure against the silky Peter Gade. After taking the first set 21-17, Peter Gade wrapped up the match with a convincing 21-9 second set score in 32 minutes.
An unlucky number 13th for Kenneth but i must salute to Kenneth Jonassen as one of the most hard working players in the badminton circuit.
