Mighty Lin dan took on Lee Chong Wei’s conqueror, Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia in the semi finals of the world badminton championship in Hyderabad.

Both players were magnificent in their quarter finals matches especially Sony. Sony disposed off top seed Chong Wei in three sets while Lin Dan had a tough match as well against Peter Gade.

It will indeed be a tough one to call but Lin Dan will be the favorite to go through after his display in this tournament.

Soni is quite good. But Lin Dan is still the best.

  • good match 🙂 Sony put up a good fight and had several good shots+rallies.

Lin Dan is an excellent player. His physical stength promises his win. Thx, Jason.

  • Here can we see Lin dan can play 100% when it needs.
And when plays 100% no one can beat him, just perfect at every shots.

A loser is the one who lose. A sore loser is someone who loses in a fair competition but whines about it on a constant basis, blaming everyone around them for their loss except themselves.

  • To bumchild: I think that makes him more of a winner–a very disciplined one.

You can argue that it takes a lot of sportsmanship to lose gracefully, but for Lin Dan, maybe his standards make losing not an option. That’s why he always wins.

Therefore, when he actually does lose, he faces a state of shock and bitter disappointment. There’s nothing wrong with that.

I agree with the above comments. He is above many people, because he is a true champion in the fact that he does not or can not lose. If he loses he puts the blame entirely on himself, but when he wins he wins for his countries and for his people. For china he is a wonderful champion.

I wish canada could produce someone like him in the future but it’ll be a very long time till that happens :(.

Yeah, Lin Dan will always be Super Dan. His movement in courts and covering is outstanding. No one can do like what he can do. I agree with the comments when he play with 100% nobody for time being can beat him. We can see that through all the matches that he played before. If a normal super series, he will not show off his true face but when comes to a championship such as World Badminton Championship, Olympic, All-England look at hime how he is performing. He will always be my Hero in badminton.

It is very fascinating to watch Lin Dan playing. I have a high respect for his achievement. I really hope one day Malaysia can produce a player of his calibre or even better. So far he is more superior in all aspects than any other player.

  • i know Lin is a very very good player, but i can feel something in koro, something that he can win lin in the future. i like koro

  • Whether people like Lin Dan or not, they gotta respect the guy. Nobody wins olympic gold, 3 worlds, 4 all englands, thomas and sudirman cups and a ton of superseries without a great talent, not to mention hardwork. And when you’ve won as much as he has, against superb players like Taufik, lcw, gade, etc, why would he want to accept anything but winning? As for as iam concerned Lin Dan can talk the talk because he has walked the walk. If LD went up to our faces and said, “hey iam a big winner in badminton.” what can we say? It’s true isnt it? It’s not like hes some one who cant accept losing but has never won anything.
