A match where all the Vietnamese people has been waiting for. Their hero Nguyen Tien Minh took on Malaysia’s here, Lee Chong wei in the 3rd round of the World Badminton Championship 2009 match.

In their last meeting, Tien Minh shocked Chong Wei in rubber games and trust me, Tien Minh has improved a lot. Not only that, he just won the Thailand Open defeating Boonsak Ponsana in the finals.

Enjoy the match and i only have positive words for Tien Minh for his showing against mighty Lee Chong Wei.

Thanks a lot for posting this video.

TM has come a really long way and made it to the top 10. It would’ve been a lot better for TM if he had a coach coming long with him. Oh well!

LCW is in his top shape. I hope he’ll beat LD this time.

TM, we are proud of you! Thanks Victor for being his sponsor.

Tien Minh, I am sorry to see you lost against Lee. Lee won because he was better than you. But I have no doubt that you can one day defeat Lee again, very soon. Keep on fighting, Tiger! I am proud of you.

I’m Viet, so I love how Tien Minh has improved so quickly, but Chong Wei is still my favorite! He makes his opponents (except Lin Dan) fear smashing to him. Proud of both of you. This could be Datuk Lee’s year! Thanks to Jason for this great matchup!

Well, no matter how L.C.W in shape but what you think about Da Olympic Champion? You think that he would easily to be beaten just like that?
Lin Dan is ahead of L.C.W. I’m proud of L.C.W but look into both China and Malaysia game skills. China will be more advantage.

  • Lol, the commentator is hilarious
    “Hey how bout that one
    Why werent you there
Cuz that was too good thats why.”

I must say that Tien Minh is really improving very quickly and good work by him!
Note in the Part I the umpire announces match point in the first set, they must had a long and tiring day.
    Good commentating in this matchup.

NTM is really good, giving a good fight to LCW, LCW does have more experience compare to him I think. NTM is just losing to LCW because of experience.

And a side note, I dont like the commentator at all… Talks so much bs.

Tien Minh really gave his all. He lost with pride. He didn’t go down just like that although he is up against a Malaysian superman! ^^

Job well done Tien Minh.. We are looking forward to see you more often Now!

It is a pity to see Lee was defeated. But He sure is one of the most talented players in the world. I haven’t watched this game, and don’t know why. But Lee will go along any tounaments to a brighter future.

Tien Minh is very aggressive in attacking, but with many errors. It looks he need to improve coarse style and become more delicate.

    Dear Mr.Minh,
I am sad to see that you lost Lee Chong Wei.
But you are very great. You are progressing. I believe that you will on the top of World Badminton Ranking Table. I always follow your development. Good luck!

  • Seriously, it was a good game. I love how they defend the smashes.

    BUT

The commentator is such a dick, he didn’t focus on commentating the skills and the play of BOTH opponents, he was biased on Chong Wei, and during game he kept drifting to comment on other games.

A*hole, learn how to do commentating.

The second game was nice to watch… I was hoping for a third set. Unfortunately for NTM, he didn’t win but he did well…

    Keep Going NTM 🙂
