Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong took on favorites Lee Yong Dae & Jung Jae Sung in the Super Series Masters Finals 2008. On paper, the Korean pair will have no problem clinching the title.

Both pairs were trading early punches but the Malaysian pair took the initiative and won the first set with a 21-18 scoreline.

In the second set, Lee Yong Dae wasn’t on form. Making numerous simple uncharacteristic mistakes, Kien Kat & Boon Heong took advantage and win 21-14 in a 37 minutes match.

A big win for the Malaysian pair and hope they don’t get big headed and start being more consistent.

A triple joy for Malaysia… Men Singles, Men Doubles and Women Doubles titles to show minus the Chinese players. Still an achievement to be proud of. Enjoy it peeps…
