Liew Daren has risen to a career high of World No. 28 in the world rankings. He is now ahead of Hafiz Hashim. Is Liew Daren our country’s hope once Lee Chong Wei hangs up his racquet?

I watched the other night when Liew Daren was performing at the Axiata Cup. He has an attacking game style but lack the patience. To be a world beater, he needs more patience as going for the kill too early will not definitely end up in getting a point. Not only that, from my point of view, Liew Daren still needs to improve on his speed and also shot retrieving.

With hardwork and determination, I am sure he will give the top players a run for their money. At the moment, I don’t see him as a Top 10 player but I do really hope he proves me wrong!
