Too make good drop shots, your movement and your footwork must be fast. Usually overhead straight drop shots should go outwards. Never ever slice the drop shot inwards as this will make the shuttle go to the middle of the court.

The aim of the drop shots should be at the sideline so that your opponent will move more in the court. Keep your drop shot as close as possible to the net. The contact point of the drop shot must be near your body.

Don’t be surprised even to make a drop shot, you will need to use the power of your wrist.

Three important points that you need to take note. Speed of the shuttle is the key and by slicing makes the shuttle near the net. You should not reduce the speed of the swing while doing the drop shot. The power of drop shots required good consistency of your swing process.
