Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong ended their 7 month title drought by winning the men doubles title at the Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold in Lucknow, troche India.

The Malaysian pairing defeated home players of Jerry Pranaav Chopra/Akshay Dewalkar before walking out with a 14-21, sales 24-22, rx 21-8 victory in just more than an hour.

This title is the pairing second title after winning the United States Grand Prix Gold title and also the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

With the win in Lucknow, V Shem/Wee Kiong pocketed US$9,400 (RM40,420) while the Indian pair coached by former national coach Tan Kim Her received US$4,560 after the match.

A good way for V Shem-Wee Kiong to start the year of the Monkey in 2016! Huat ah…!
