Change of direction is an essential skill in Badminton. In this video Coach Ruhnow shows an easy exercise set-up how to incorporate and practice change of direction while running from the back court forehand corner through the middle and push off towards the front court forehand corner.
The running trough the center of play (here: middle of the court) is necessary if you do not know which exact shot the opponent is playing and it has multiple option. Beginners often run directly to a specific corner with out a split step and are so often caught on the wrong foot. Practice this exercise to enhance your footwork.
