Former world junior champion Zulfadli Zulkiffli and also independent player Tan Chun Seang will have to put a stop in their badminton careers after both are found guilty for match fixing.

Chun Seang will be suspended for 15 years while Zulfadli will be banned for 20 years after their misdeed!

The bans cover administrative, coaching, officiating, or developmental functions. In addition, Tan has been fined US$15,000 (RM58,897) while Zulfadli has been fined US$25,000 (RM98,162) by a BWF Ethics Hearing Panel.

The suspensions begin from 12 January 2018 – the date on which both players were provisionally suspended by the Badminton World Federation.

Tan and Zulfadli have the right to appeal under Clause 14 of the BWF Judicial Procedures.
