My first video for the semi finals and finals match is between Chen Jin against Taufik Hidayat. It’s a semi finals match of the men singles event in the world badminton championship in Hyderabad.

Youth will be on Chen Jin side but experience wise, Taufik is much better. Can the fox of badminton out smart the fast and powerful Chen Jin?

Enjoy the match.

Disappointed at Taufik. Pretty much give up after first game. Only can complain about shuttle cocks. A clown sooner or later.

  • thanks for uploading

something wrong? what happen to the 2nd game. . .

    21:6 . . . . .

  • Much appreciate your efforts in uploading the match videos. Hope you will soon be posting the other semi-final and final.

Wth, what happened ? was something wrong? you could hear Taufik going up to the Umpire talking about the shuttle and said ” Normally it’s not like this”. And In the second game he didnt even try to win it …

    Good job Chen Jin!

  • 21:6…..? what happened taufik? hiks..
goodluck on the Macau Open 09!

  • btw PHILIP: that is taufik. once he does not satisfy with things around him, he will get emotional and the worst case he will let his hope down and not even trying to win the match. that was what happened between him and PBSI (indonesian badminton association). He didn’t feel satisfy with the association. he thought that they could have done better to their players in terms of many things. Eventually he went out going PRO. but it think for the later case, he made a good decision as you can see him now; he performed better than before though he hasn’t achieved any big tittle yet.

Was Taufik really that concerned about the shuttle to have no confidence to play the second game anymore?

  • Thanks for uploading. Please upload more SF & Final matches of MD, the most exciting of games in Badminton.

Poor Taufik, he is an old veteran and can’t compete with top players, everytime he plays with LCW and LD they trash him badly. But he still reached the SF stage, so well done to him.

i’m not surprised Taufik lost. He plays by mood, still I wish him the best.

  • the shuttle was a big concern to Taufik, but Chen Jin was soo strong in the seconds game… disappointed because i’m a huge Taufik fan

Taufik is 28. C’MON TAUFIK, TRAIN HARD, GET FIT, YOU HAVE THE SKILL TO BEAT THEM ALL!

Shuttlecock or not there’s 2 players on the court and the shuttle doesn’t just affect one player. Taufik is history, too non chalant.

  • Alphadeck,

The problem was that Taufik suspected Chen Jin to be manipulating the feathers to gain an advantage. Perhaps Chen Jin was used to the flight of the manipulated shuttle.

This might have conflicted with Taufik psychologically.

Chen Jin is fu*king dog. Does not know how to play badminton with normal (standard) shuttlecock.

  • The problem with Taufik besides his arrogance is his attitude towards training. He has the skill, perhaps arguably one of the most talented players ever but without hard work what does talent mean? Talent alone doesnt win you games, hard work does. Taufik reminds me of hockey star Mario Lemiuex, he had phenomenal talent and won 2 cups but his attitude towards practice was dreadful- he basically didnt show up whenever he felt like it. He got away with it cause he was the star and years later he had back problems and alot of the younger guys surpassed him in speed etc. Taufik now is no different. Hes old in badminton years and when his opponents push him around the court to his limits he gets frustrated and gives up the game like hes not trying in order to save whatever little face has. Face it facts , smart players are not going to run around the court setting Taufik up just so he can look good. It is sad to see Taufik go out this way but he had it comming and if he continues this path pretty soon hell be over run by 19 year old up n commers..but hey, Taufik may still have a chance at another big event, provided Lin Dan, Lee chong Wei, Gade, Chen Jin, Sony Dwi, and Koreas Park somehow miss a flight and dont show up. Play the lottery Taufik…you might have a better chance.
