Another Chinese affair in the women singles semi finals of the Yonex Sunrise Hong Kong Super Series badminton tournament. Jiang Yanjiao taking on Wang Lin in the semis.

Wang Lin form has been up and down of late. Wang Lin is finding it hard to beat her compatriot Wang Yihan while Jiang Yanjiao the left hander is a no pushover. On her day, Jiang Yanjiao can beat anybody.

Can Yanjiao defy the odds to beat her more fancied opponent Wang Lin?

Wang Yihan took on Wang Lin in the French Super Series badminton tournament in the women singles event. It is a match of the top two ladies player from China with Wang Yihan being the current world number 1.

Should be a good match to watch. People always complain that same players from the same country is always a dull match but world class players from the same country is not that dull where you can learn new tricks and skills from the world’s best in the game.

Oh yeah, some supporters were asking how come i am using Youtube of late? The reason was simple. Remember the other day when all the videos were down? The hosting company were complaining that it took too much of CPU once again but they were kind enough not to take the whole site down.

In the future, i will use a mixture of Youtube and Flash Videos on the site so that it won’t use that much of resources and CPU.

Tine Rasmussen took on Wang Yihan in the Denmark Open 2009 women singles finals badminton tournament. The crowd will be rooting for Tine Rasmussen for sure as she is the home player.

Wang Lin took on youngster Wang Xin in the China Masters 2009 women singles semi finals badminton tournament. China is producing too many world class women singles player. I am pretty sure China will dominate women singles event for the next 10 years at least.

Both Wang Lin and Wang Xin are just in their early twenties and they are already world class players. Enjoy the match as both players tried hard to outsmart their opponents!

Another new star is born. Wang Shixian! I just couldn’t understand how China can produce top class ladies player non stop? It’s just like a factory that runs 24 hours a day and 365.25 days a year.

Really must salute the China Badminton Association for this. Anyway, Wang Lin took on Wang Shixian in the China Masters women singles badminton tournament.

It’s a must watch match as both players play their heart out for this game.

Wang Lin one of the favorites to win the World Championship 2009 badminton tournament in Hyderabad took on Yu Hirayama of Japan in the 2nd round.

Saina Nehwal created history by being the first India player to win a Super Series event. Nehwal defeated Wang Lin from China in rubber games to create history.

The next world championship will be in India and the host nation will be looking with optimism for Nehwal to do well in that tournament. We shall see whether Saina Nehwal’s win is a fluke or will she be able to maintain her form. Time will tell.

A matchup of China top player Xie Xing Fang taking her junior compatriot, up and coming star Wang Lin in the finals of the French Open 2008 Super Series tournament.

Xing Fang playing her first tournament after her disappointment from the Beijing Olympic lost to Zhang Ning. Wang Lin, high on confidence after winning the Denmark Open 2008.

As expected, Xing Fang was rusty in the first set. Letting her younger opponent dictating play. Wang Lin did had a scare in the first set after taking a 19-12 lead. In the end, Wang Lin prevailed with a 21-18 score.

Xing Fang cameout much stronger in the second set. Making lesser mistakes and taking the shuttle early. Xing Fang strategy worked as she won the second set with a relatively easy 21-13 scoreline.

With a relatively younger age, Wang Lin had the upper hand in the 3rd set. We can clearly see that Xing Fang ran out of steam in the third game. Wang Lin easily won the 3rd set with a 21-11 scoreline in 53 minutes.

To all Xie Xing Fang fans out there, dont panic as Xing Fang has put her retirement plans on hold.

Back to back Super Series title, nobody will bet against Wang Lin to be one of the best in the business. Agree? ^^

On paper, Tine Rasmussen the home crowd favorite will have an easy time against unseeded Wang Lin in the Denmark Open 2008 semi finals match.

The matches between both of them have been close but with home ground advantage, all was pointing to a Tine Rasmussen victory.

To my surprised, Rasmussen started the match very slowly making numerous simple errors while Wang Lin of China was a steady girl out there. The Chinese current junior world champion took the first set with a 21-17 victory.

In the second set, Tine Rasmussen started the match on a more aggressively note. She attacked Wang Lin on all occassion and her tactics worked. She won with a score of 21-13.

In the third set, Rasmussen continued with her aggressive game and did well to get to a 18-13 lead and after that her game crumbled. Wang Lin capitalised and won 21-18 to progress to the finals.
