How often do we get to see a Russian women singles player in action? To be honest this is the first time i hear the name of Ella Diehl. No hard feelings to all my Russian supporters.

Anyway Tine Rasmussen took on Ella Diehl at the Copenhagen Masters 2009 women singles badminton tournament in the round robin match.

From paper, i am pretty sure Tine Rasmussen will have it easy against the unknown Russian player. Nonetheless, its a privilege to have the chance to watch a Russian women singles player in action. Hope Russia can produce more Maria Sharapova in badminton in the future. ^^

Tine Rasmussen the home crowd favorite took on Malaysia’s Lydia Cheah in the Copenhagen Masters 2009 women singles badminton tournament.

Lydia Cheah did well to enter the finals of the women singles finals after defeating Yao Jie in the semi finals. Tine Rasmussen is the favorite in this match as this is her home ground. Not only that, Tine Rasmussen is ranker much higher compared to Lydia Cheah.

Tine Rasmussen fired a warning to all Women badminton players after clinching the Korea Open 2009 Badminton Super Series tournament by virtually beating Pi Hongyan 21-19, 21-19 in 34 minutes.

It was double joy for Denmark as Peter Gade defeated World No.1 Lee Chong Wei in the Men Singles Finals.

The previous time they met, Zhou Mi was victorious but this time around, Tine Rasmussen got the better of Zhou Mi with a 21-17, 15-21, 21-16 scoreline in a 56 minutes battle.

A match up between last year champion Xu Huaiwen (Germany) taking on home favorite Tine Rasmussen in the Copenhagen Masters Finals 2008 in the Women Singles category.

Both players didn’t had much problem reaching the finals. Tine Rasmussen as the home player had a good start against Xu Huaiwen. Some uncharacteristic unforced error by Tine gave Xu Huaiwen a glimmer of hope.

Tine Rasmussen used her height to perfection against a shorter Xu Huaiwen and clinched the match in 36 minutes with a 21-18, 21-17 scoreline. A first for Tine Rasmussen in the Copenhagen Masters!
