We at badmintonfreak would like to take this oppourtunity to wish everybody out there a Happy Valentines Day! Spend this special day with your loved ones whether it is your father, mother, siblings, family, partners or even friends.

After dating, don’t forget to watch badminton at badmintonfreak k?  Happy Valentines Day!!

Malaysian shuttlers gave their reasoning on why they performed not up to the mark during the recent Thomas and Uber Cup Finals.

Here are the reasons given by them :-

1. They were, culturally, not as mentally strong as the shuttlers from China and South Korea
2. There was too much disturbance from the media and their surroundings (at the hostel where they shared the facilities with athletes from other sports at Bukit Kiara)
3. The motivation camp was held too close to the Finals
4. They lost to Japan (2-3 in the group tie) because they did not get a chance to try out the stadium when Nigeria failed to turn up for their opening match

To be honest i am surprised and shocked to see such lame excuses given by these players. Here are my reasonings :-

1. I must say this is the major stumbling block on why most Malaysians don’t excel or do well in sports especially during tense situation. They tend to crumble. It seems like a disease in Malaysia. I am pretty sure most of my Malaysian counterparts will support my comment on this
2. What’s wrong sharing? You guys sure you can be Thomas cup champion if there is not disturbance from media and no sharing of facilities with other athletes? China have more then 1 billion population and Indonesia is like 10 to 20 times bigger then Malaysia. I am sure they have more disturbance then you all have
3. Motivation camp? So without motivation camp you can’t motivate yourself to excel for your country and nation? Enough said!
4. This is the most lame excuse they can give. Couldn’t try out the courts earlier? So you all are blaming on Nigeria’s absence for your failure? Isn’t that lame. Imagine players from other country like Denmark, have to get use of the court and also the weather. Never hear them complaining about that also. Come on, you are playing at home and not Norway!! You have the crowd shouting for you, the weather that suits you, what else you all want?

So i rest my case. More comments and constructive ideas will be welcome.

Malaysia will once again depend heavily and Lee Chong Wei and Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong to give Malaysia a good start. Any of this two looses, then we can kiss goodbye to our dream of winning the Thomas Cup after a 18 years wait.

Today is the 15th of January 2010 and it’s my Birthday. To be exact it’s my 27th Birthday. Getting old already man..

I always remember when i was young, my parents will celebrate for me my birthday every year. As usual all my best buddies in class will attend the small simple birthday party conducted by my parents. When I was young I always look forward to birthday parties because can get many presents.

I guess as age goes by, we take our birthday as just another day. Of course is an important day to remember because that’s the day I saw daylight on earth 27 years ago. Time really flies and with a blink of an eye i am already 27.

Can’t believe at the age of 27 i am still single and available! -_- Never had any relationships ever before. Really couldn’t believe it man. Many of my friends also don’t believe if i tell them that. This is something until today i can’t understand and i wouldn’t know when only i can understand.

I guess relationship with a girl is even harder then doing a jumping smash! Hmmmz.. I guess the main reason for my failure to get into any relationship is maybe because i am too straight forward and honest. I guess girls now a days don’t like guys who are straight forward, naive and honest!

I guess that is what happened to my latest project in chasing a girl… Something until today i couldn’t understand. I am not boring by the way! -_-

Anyway one thing is for sure, i would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for bringing me up, my sister who always stand by me when i need her, my buddies (You know who you are), friends and relatives. Without all of you, life wouldn’t be so interesting and so colorful. Not to forget all the fans of Badmintonfreak, without you, this site wouldn’t be what it is today!

Haven’t thought of what i am going to wish for my birthday as like they say, you have one wish every time your birthday comes. So i will think properly first before making it.

Anyway on my birthday, i hope all badminton lovers can do me a small favor. Get as many people possible to visit this site as the record visitors per day on Badmintonfreak is 9287! Way low for a sports with huge fan base all over the world. Badmintonfreak has a 21k++ fans on facebook and I hope every fans on Facebook can visit Badmintonfreak so that we can break the 10k visitors barrier? ^^

Let’s break to the 10k visitors barrier for badmintonfreak on my Birthday! Let 15th January 2010 be the day we remember that Badmintonfreak has more then 10k visitors for one day! ^^

Sorry for being a little emotional but nonetheless, i am already 27 and i am not sure what is installed for me tomorrow on my birthday and i hope everybody out there will be happy and marry always… Happy smashing my brothers and sisters.. Our motto for badmintonfreak should be something like this >> (We live and breathe badminton) What say you?
