Guo Zhendong & Xu Chen of China took Alvent Yulianto & Hendra Gunawan of Indonesia in the men doubles semi finals of the Proton Malaysia Open Super Series 2010 badminton tournament.

Guo Zhendong-Xu Chen seems to like Malaysia a lot as they had a good outing the lastime they were here. They defeated Kien Keat-Boon Heong in the Super Series Masters Finals in Johor Bahru.

In the absence of Kido-Setiawan, Alvent-Gunawan is the hope of Indonesia in the world badminton scene. Will be a tough match and a tough one to call.

Home crowd favorite Chen Hung Ling & Lin Yu Lang took on Indonesian pair of Alvent Yulianto & Hendra Gunawan in the semi finals of the Taiwan Open 2009 men doubles badminton event.

This match promises to be a fast and furious one as both will be looking forward to make it to the finals. Of course the home crowd will be rooting for their pair but the Indonesian pair is highly seeded for the tournament.

Upset almost happen at the Men Doubles Finals of the Malaysia Open 2009 Super Series Badminton tournament between Lee Yong Dae & Jung Jae Sung taking on new combination of Alvent Yulianto & Hendra Gunawan of Indonesia.

In the end the Koreans were just too strong winning in 3 sets with a 18-21, 21-14, 21-14 scoreline in 48 minutes.
