Bao Chunlai the sole representative from China in the men singles department in the World Super Series Masters Finals 2009 badminton tournament. Lin Dan and Chen Jin decided to skip this event but Chunlai came!

Bao Chunlai took on Chinese Taipei Hsieh Yu Hsin in the group matches and on paper, the Chinese will be too hot too handle for the Taiwanese.

The Taiwanese has not made any major impact on big tournaments but he is still considered a world class player in the men singles badminton.
