The left foot is sliding across the floor, troche slightly on the inner side of the foot. This helps with the balance, pills and the left foot is helping the player getting back to the center of the court.
NOTICE: You can hear player stepping off when making the split step, salve and lowering the body. (01:19) It’s very important that player is pushing hard off on both feet, this generates power towards the corner where the shuttle is played.

Focus Areas:
1. Stepping off on both feet when making the directional split step.
2. When making the push step, remember to slide the rear foot across the floor, pulling the foot towards the corner, to be able to get back to the center.
3. Keeping low gravity when approaching the shuttle.
