Koo Kien Keat / Tan Boon Heong qualified to the finals of the Yonex Sunrise Hong Open 2012 by virtue of having a walkover from Ko Sung Hyun / Lee Yong Dae.

In the finals, they played against the reigning Olympic 2012 champions cai Yun / Fu Haifeng and they lost tamely against the top Chinese pair in 43 minutes with the score of 21-16, 21-17

It seems that the Malaysian pairing seems to play badly against the Chinese top pair, Danish top pair (Mathias Boe / Carsten Mogensen) and also the Korean top pair (Lee Yong Dae / Ko Sung Hyun).

What future do they have together if they can’t beat the best pairs in the world? We shall not forget that they still have to come up against Mohammad Ahsan / Hendra Setiawan, Hiroyuki Endo / Kenichi Hayakawa and etc.
I personally can’t stand watching anymore their poor performances in court. How about you?

  • Hi everyone,

In my perspective, the Malaysian Doubles pair of KKK/TBH have the skills, power and experiences in court. However, everyone knows that a double games involves aggression and physical, not to mention playing with the top pairs.

No doubt that TBH and KKK can pair really well but they just need to have better focus and simplicity to win the game. They need to forsake a little of fanciness and place it in their physical conditions.

They have been one of my favorite pairs, they have brought entertainment to badminton.

All they need now is to win and prove the critics wrong.

    Your sincerely

@Ivan : I am one of their biggest critics and i sincerely hope they will prove me wrong! 🙂

jason, you should only pass such comments when you’re at their level. they are trying their best thats all i can say.

@jason_fu : I really appreciate your comments. As a badminton lover, i do hope they do well but they are not going any further with such performances. If they go down fighting, we will still encourage n support them. By loosing easily and without giving a fight is what many people are angry with.

      Just my 2 cents.

yes as ivan said..too much uneeded fanciness..but i think they do it just because they nervous when it comes against top pairs. and i don’t think they have bright future ahead. personally i’m not a fan of them. no offense

    Aww come on!

These guys are great no matter if they win or lose. I love their style,
and extravagant play. They are true characters…

KKK loves to play around at the net, sometimes plays unnecessary hard shots, but when it works out, its just fatastic. Tan Boo hong is also amazing master to watch with amazing smash.

I dont see how u can anyone get so low as a badmintonlover, to say that you’re sick of them?? 😛

Come on…why only judge people by results. I just dont understand.
    My few cents.:)

Im always happy to see them play.

Any player with more skills then yourself should be admired 🙂
