Chong Wei Feng bids goodbye to the BAM after being with the national team for 12 years. The Kedahan player age 28 years old has severed ties with BAM.
Wei Feng is the fourth shuttler to leave BAM this year. Wei Feng reached a career high N0.12 in the world in 2013 but couldn’t maintain his form at that level.
Liew Daren was the first to leave when he left this January while doubles shuttlers Tan Aik Quan and Tan Jinn Hwaa left last month.
Wei Feng left the national body in search for a fresh perspective in his career. Another main reason why Wei Feng left the national body is due his failure to qualify for this year’s Olympics in Rio 2016.
One of the better memories that Wei Feng has with the national body was helping the team to finish runner up at the 2014 Thomas Cup where he won all his matches except his final match where he lost to Kento Momota.
In short, we wish Wei Feng all the best and good luck!
