Lee Chong Wei took on Nguyen Tien Minh of Vietnam at the semi finals of the Proton Malaysia Open Super Series badminton tournament. On paper, Chong Wei will have no trouble advancing to the finals.
Jokes aside, to be honest, i really like Tien Minh. He might be as popular as Lin Dan or Chong Wei but i like is fighting display and never say die attitude.
Tien Minh takes the match seriously and start to attack from the word go. He does not fear anybody on the badminton circuit. Not only that, he gives his all in every match.
If all the backup players in Malaysia can show such spirit and determination, i am sure they will be world class players. That is what is lacking in Malaysia younger generations of players. Not only that, Malaysian tend to have very weak mental toughness.
That’s what is hampering the progress of these players.
Anyway enjoy the Lee Chong Wei vs Nguyen Tien Minh match.

Love his spirit too. I'll pursue that spirit which lies inside me
Awesome for the first set Tien minh could've beat chong wei! I am looking forward to see him progress in other tournaments. Hopefully, he will be able to beat LCW again one day and even maybe LD.
Good Game….both played very well. Tks Jas!
Mihn gets nervous at the end of the first game. Such a shame. He really played well!
LCW still the best
LCW is the best if he can Lin Dan consistently!
He played very well in the first set. Too bad he can't sustain!
