This is for the Americans! Their hero and former world champions that took out Choong Tan FOok & Lee Wan Wah, Tony Gunawan & Howard Bach took on Shintaro Ikeda & Shuichi Sakamoto of Japan.
To be honest, whenever the Americans are playing, their opponent will concentrate their attacks on Howard Bach. Tony Gunawan as we know is as cool as ice in court. Gunawan has won everything and it’s not wise to attack the shuttle to him.
Any enjoy the fast and furious match as the Americans take on the Japanese.

Jason, you have done a wonderful job to bring the top badminton matches onto website. I should give you my heat-felt thanks for this work. I am a badminton freak playing 4 times a week. I love this sport very much.
“Leaping like a salmon”…lol…anyway, thanks so much to Jason! You’re performing a great service to badminton lovers all over, and like in the US, who don’t get any television coverage outside of California.
Again…Bach will ride on the coattail of Gunawan, his demeanor bemuses me.
Alphadeck doesn’t seem to see that they actually combine surprisingly well. Howard has developed his game over the past couple years and seems to be a lot stronger and confident then he once was. Obviously gunawan is the stronger player, but please dont regard bachs skills. Its very easy to pick on the weaker player, but if it was that easy this game would’ve been a lot closer.
I agree with Kaiserbun. It is obvious that Bach is the rookie between the two and (of course) Tony is the veteran. But Bach is no longer playing like a rookie. It looks like anopther day at the office for him. Much so, his new found confidence and experience is getting the US duo much further this year. Thanks for posting this game Jason. Awesome commitment!
Its not letting me download. I want to download this file because this video is just awesome. I love watching Bach and gunawan play!
can i ask who is the one talking during the game? i notice that he talk in almost every single international match
It's John Burgess, I like him as a commentator personally, since he is/looks like a real fan himself
