Battle of the ‘old birds’ in badminton where Wong Choong Hann takes on Taufik Hidayat in the Taiwan Open 2009 men singles semi finals badminton tournament.

Choong Hann is on the form of his life after being an independent badminton player. Defeated Chen Jin in the semi finals of the Macau Open 2009 and narrowly lost to Lee Chong Wei in the finals.

Meanwhile Taufik is playing badminton as an independent as well. Hidayat is more casual now a days compared to lastime where he enjoys his matches and don’t put too much pressure on himself.

Trust me, Natalie will be overjoyed to watch this video. Enjoy the battle of the old birds in badminton.

At the start of the 3rd and final set, I think the ref said “Love all, pray!!” Taufik played well but after weeks of high intensity badminton, his body needs a rest, especially the adomen muscle below the right arm, it will be aching.

Good match but very disappointing performance by Toufiq Hadayat. I think he is unable to consist his fitness as we can realize by this season that he has lost in his qualifying round matches. after all he is my favourite player, he should work hard to improve himself a champion.
