Lee Chong Wei took on Peter Gade at the first Super Series of the year which is the Malaysia Open in the Men Singles event. It’s a repeat of the just concluded Super Series Masters Finals which Chong Wei easily beat Gade in 2 straight sets.

Gade is on a loosing streak against Chong Wei. This is their 6th meeting and Chong Wei had won all previous five of them. Gade is a man with a mission.

Chong Wei took the early initiative against Gade but couldn’t finish him off. The score was tied at 20-20 and both players exchanging points. Gade was more precise with his shot with Chong Wei making some easy errors. Gade took the first set 26-24.

Chong Wei was under tremendous pressure. Started on the wrong foot going down 0-3. With the Malaysian supporters supporting him thunderously, Chong Wei cameback strongly to win 21-17.

In the third set, Gade ran out of steam. As we know, Chong Wei fitness is one of his forte didn’t have much problem blowing Gade 21-13 in a 61 minutes match.

As i finish this post, i am watching Chong Wei’s final match against Park Sung Hwan. ^^ A big match and i will be rooting for the home boy, Lee Chong Wei!
